Hello there!
I'm officially on holidays and believe me when I tell you I'm enjoying them to the absolute fullest! The first week I basically lived in bikinis and sunglasses, spending most of my time in my hammock - well - at least throughout the day. During the nights, however... I was ready to party! Obviously, a graduation is something to celebrate and me and my girls really didn't care that we already had a drink to honour our success. Nah you can't really overdo on celebrating your graduation. (but you can definitely overdo it on Pina Coladas... #lessonlearned)

In summer I prefer a really light and radiant makeup that's easy to take off at night but has strong staying power throughout the day. Especially when it comes to foundation, I don't want to go for something really heavy and thick but I do like myself some full-coverage. As someone with problem skin, I know how difficult it is to find a foundation that is both light and full coverage. I feel like going for liquid foundations is usually a step in the right direction, however, there are a lot of different brands and textures that feel different on everyone's skin, so it's really just trying until you find something that floats your boat.

The most important thing before putting on foundation and ensuring it stays on as long as you desire is prepping your face. Besides the usual cleansing and moisturising, which you probably already do anyway, a good primer is crucial. Not only do they make sure everything stays in place, they also protect your skin and make for a smooth "canvas". Some primers actually have special other talents as well, for example making your skin appear more matte, glowy or have a pore minimising effect.

In summer, I love myself a little sparkle - Well actually, who am I kidding, I always love sparkles, but especially in summer, I get out my beige and terracotta shimmer shades. For my eyes, I prefer a simple look and I sometimes even skip mascara. My summer favourites are the champagne-ish and the ivory-toned eye shadows. I use the champagney colour all over my lid and then dab a tiny bit of the ivory one on my inner corner. This makes for an easy but stunning look!

To top the look off, I don't go light on bronzer and highlighter as I think those two products really make for a lovely tanned and shimmery summer look. I then use a brow gel for some strong but natural brows as the gel feels lighter than a powder or a pencil, which I'm all about throughout the sunny season.
