Let the journey begin!
Hi!
...and welcome to my blog, a place where I share bits and bobs of my life, often in a very sarcastic way, seasoned with a healthy amount of bad puns.
This blog is supposed to be like a lifestyle diary, taking you along my journey as a University Freshman, a chaotic first-time house owner and one half of a very bumpy sunshine and hurricane relationship.
Chatting away from my desk chair in a little town in Austria, I'll keep you up to date on what's making me smile brighter than the sun or what's bugging me at the moment.
This blog or whatever you want to call it won't fit in any genre, no matter how hard I will try. I don't want it to be a lifestyle blog, a beauty blog or a fashion blog- I want it to be a place where I can let my mind wander, a place with no rules, no judgement, no drawers. A place where I can always find sunshine, roadside poppies and bury my feet in warm sand, even if the road is rocky in real life.
About me...
So who is this crazy lady without any clue about life, trying to hold onto motivational Pinterest quotes with a cup of tea in one hand and a paint brush in the other?
My name is Julia, I am 18 years old and am currently living in a small town in Austria, at the moment still with my parents. At the start of 2018, my life turned 180 degrees, taking twists and turns that I would have never expected, and the changes keep coming.
First of all, my new year's kiss turned into a relationship that feels like a long-distance one 80% of the time, even though we live only 20 minutes apart from each other and attend the same school.
I am going to move out in August into my very own first house- and although I know that I am very lucky to get this opportunity, I already worry about new chores, obstacles and things I can't foresee in this moment- It's all reallllllly scary!!
In October, I'll start my first year of University, studying two subjects that almost everyone advises me against because they will be so much work once I'm finished with uni: German and English- two languages that have grown on me, two languages I speak every day, two languages I can't wait to teach.
Other than that, I am a proud member of the itty bitty titty comittee, fond lover of pugs and strong supporter of tea, no matter if green tea, fruit blend, earl grey or other. As long as it contains hot water, a cute mug and herbs or fruits floating in it- I'm here for it.
I also love glitter, pretty stationery, sunsets and sunrises, sunshine, the sea and good books- Preferably all at once. ( except the sunset and sunrise part might get a tad tricky at the same time, now that I think about it...)
Now buckle your seatbelt and get ready for my late afternoon tea fuelled writing extravaganza!
Yours,
Julia (typing from her very own and very new MacBook Air, living life and drinking tea)
